Would you like the chance to have a direct, hands-on role in helping a young person at a time of crisis? Volunteer hosts for the SASH Nightstop scheme offer their spare room, an evening meal and breakfast.
The following day to young people aged 16-24 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They ensure that at a time of crisis, young people are kept safe at night and are supported when facing homelessness. Being a Nightstop host
is a very flexible way of volunteering. Young people will arrive in the evening at a time that suits you, and you can choose when to be available for hosting and how many nights you are available for. All the young people we place are
police-checked and fully risk-assessed.
Being placed with a Nightstop host gives local agencies time to sort out a more permanent solution to the young person’s housing needs.
