Christ Church Bridlington

We believe that we are meant to be part of God’s work of rebuilding and renewing and restoring. These things are expressed in three ways:

Sending

“the Spirit of the sovereign Lord is upon me for he has anointed me to….”

We see Christ Church Bridlington as a resource and sending centre – an operational base for prayer, the prophetic and training. We have a campus of buildings set in beautiful surroundings that provide us with the ability to host conferences, convene meetings and hold training events. The 6pm Gathering on Sunday evenings provides a point of connection for those serving across churches, congregations, ministries and projects to centre ourselves on Jesus.

The CCBN team is based at the Key Centre as a resource for all that is happening and various aspects of pastoral support, spiritual encouragement, workplace chaplaincy are continuing to develop. Recently we have begun to develop, on Saturday mornings 1. Roots/2. Rhythms/3. Release an opportunity for intentional discipleship.

Showing

“Oaks of righteousness – a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour”

We see our Network Churches as plantings for the display of God’s splendour. They seek to make disciples who make disciples. Our churches each serve in unique ways and contexts – we are one, but not the same.

Our network vision is for 1:1000:  to see enough expressions of church planted across the area to mean there is one disciple-making church for every 1000 people. We will do this in partnership with other churches as we recognise that we aren’t the be-all and end-all of the mission of God across this town, area and region.

Serving

“They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated, they will renew the ruined cities”

Our community services are a practical and real way of bringing personal and social transformation to our town – we believe these things are good news that God wants to bring.

We have a variety of projects and ministry areas. Families at Christ Church, Restore Community Support (more than a foodbank), Practical Skills team.
