North Cave Cricket Club

NCCC has been in existence for many years and has previously played cricket in the village at Fairfield, Newport Road and earlier at Hotham Hall (see picture from 1924).  The club moved to the present ground in 1972 when the new playing fields were constructed.  Early in the 1980’s the new clubhouse was built for the cricket and football clubs and a sports and social club was formed to help support sports and the children’s play area.

The facilities at the club are excellent and include full changing rooms, showers and a large bar area.

Currently, two cricket teams play at North Cave – one on Saturdays in the York Vale Cricket League and the other on Tuesday evenings in the Howdenshire League.  Practice sessions are held on Thursday evenings.

The annual general meeting of members of the cricket club is held in September and a presentation evening open to all players and visitors is held in March with a raffle and sports quiz. See calendar.

Please feel free to contact any member of the club if you would like more information or would like to play cricket at North Cave.
