SHORT MAT BOWLING – Bubwith

SELBY & DISTRICT SHORT MAT BOWLING LEAGUE

The Selby & District Short Mat Bowling League consists of 20 teams taken from 15 clubs. Each club has its own venue, generally in the village hall within their own village. The League is split into 2 divisions with all teams participating in an evening league at their own venues over the period approximately mid September to mid March.

The bowling which takes place at Bubwith Leisure and Sports Centre on a Tuesday afternoon during the winter months is a Triples League consisting of 20 teams drawn from within the participating clubs of the League.

A representative team of 15 players taken from across the whole membership of the League also participate in a Yorkshire League in which five areas of Yorkshire compete over the winter months on a home and away basis. This involves four home fixtures which are played at Bubwith on either a Saturday or a Sunday.
