For over two decades NAPA has been East Yorkshire’s leading performing arts school and over those years thousands of young people have come to us to have a great time and unlock their potential.
Nowadays over 600 young people come through our doors every week but despite this we manage to retain our family feel. NAPA is a happy place and we’re proud to offer professional, affordable performing arts tuition of the highest standard – available, with a warm welcome, to everyone.
Based in a building dating back to 1904, the academy runs 90 different courses and classes throughout the academic year, as well as working in partnership with many schools and community groups across the city. We are a registered charity dedicated to inspiring self-confidence, communication skills, and self-worth in all children in a safe atmosphere led by industry professionals.
Many of our former pupils have gone on to have incredible careers in dance, drama and West End musicals, but we are proud of each and every one of our young people.
Whether you come to NAPA to start your journey towards a career as a professional performer, or you just want to make friends and have fun – there’s a place for you here.
Our aim is to keep our class fees as low as possible to remove the barriers that many families in the region face when accessing the arts. Classes normally cost between £4.50 and £5.50 per session.
